1. Start by ensuring that the hydraulic system is properly pressurized and all connections are secure.
2. Apply hydraulic pressure to the inlet port of the valve. This can be done by connecting the hydraulic power source to the inlet port using appropriate fittings and hoses.
3. As hydraulic pressure is applied, the valve will allow flow through the inlet port and out of the outlet port. The flow rate will be determined by the setting of the valve.
4. To adjust the flow rate, use a suitable tool (such as a screwdriver) to turn the adjustment screw on the valve. Turning the screw clockwise will decrease the flow rate, while turning it counterclockwise will increase the flow rate.
5. The valve is equipped with a built-in relief valve that will limit the maximum pressure in the system. If the pressure exceeds the set limit, the relief valve will open to allow excess fluid to bypass and maintain safe pressure levels.
6. To shut off the flow completely, turn the adjustment screw fully clockwise until it stops. This will close off the flow path and prevent any fluid from passing through the valve.
7. When the operation is complete, release the hydraulic pressure from the system by turning off the hydraulic power source and disconnecting any hoses or fittings.
Note: It is crucial to refer to the manufacturer's instructions and specifications for precise details on the operation and maintenance of the Sun Hydraulic Limit Valve CAV T-3A.
